Referring friends

How it works

Every family with a Klimbo account has its own share link (klimbo.nl/?ref=…). If you share it with another parent and they make an account through your link, we see that your family brought that family. In the app you see how many families came through your link.

Children do not take part. Your child does not see the link, gets no reward and is not asked about it in the app.

The reward

At the moment there is no reward: the share link is a way to recommend Klimbo, nothing more. If we decide to introduce a reward, it will be here with the date from which it applies.

If there is a reward, it counts as free time on the subscription of both families, never as money. It is granted as soon as the new family has paid for the first time. Founding families and families with a code from Stichting Leergeld or a municipality do not pay, and so do not count as a first payment.

The limits

One reward per household: if the payment comes from the same bank account number, or the same parent belongs to both accounts, the referral does not count. To check this, we keep a hash of the bank account number of the first payment, a code that cannot be traced back; the account number itself stays with Mollie.

At most twelve rewarded referrals per family per twelve months.

If the new family withdraws within fourteen days and gets its money back, the referral and any reward lapse.

We can close misuse (fake accounts, spreading the link unasked, sharing it in places for children) without a reward.

Sharing fairly

If you get something for sharing, say so when you pass the link on or post it somewhere. The app adds that sentence to the share card automatically as soon as there is a reward. That way it stays clear to everyone that this is a recommendation with a benefit.

Changes and stopping

We can change or stop the programme. A referral that has already been counted keeps the reward that applied then. Questions go to luuk@upyourself.nl.
